Then Comes Marriage…

I was looking through some old photos and stumbled on this one of me and My Man shortly before we were married.  I had been diagnosed with endometriosis some ten years earlier and had fought to preserve my fertility and stave off the pain with laparoscopies and Lupron.  We were still hoping that we would be able to start a family at this time.

  1. Wonderful picture of the two of you.

And hugs. It can be joyful and sad, looking at photos from different times in our lives. I am not sure which you are feeling here. But, I think either one deserves a good hug.

  2. I’m rather late to this (been travelling and lost all my bookmarks/favourites!) but wanted to say how lovely it is to see you, and what a good photo that is.

  3. dear Beef Princess,
it is lovely to see you! Wonderful picture of you & husband.
Yes, I completely understand you. When I look at our pictures…. they fall in different categories:
    1. pictures from the start, when we did not think about kids at all
    2. pictures when we did not yet know that we might have problems conciving
    3. pictures from our IVF years (the longest period of all)
    4. pictures after the decision to live childfree (only few so far since the decision is still fresh)
